Payment

I take payment upfront through Paypal invoices for commissions. If requested, I can split up the payment into 50% upfront and 50% upon completion. Client will have 48 hours after the invoice is sent to make the payment, otherwise they relinquish their commission slot. 

Refunds and Cancellations

Once payment is received and I have started on the commission I will not do any refunds. If the client is using a payment plan, I will not accept refunds on the already processed payments. However, they are allowed to cancel further payments and will receive any completed work from previous payments. 

I reserve the right to cancel any commissions due to communication issues, inappropriate behavior by the client, or if anything makes me uncomfortable with continuing the commission. A full refund will be given if I  am unable to finish the commission because of unforeseen circumstances on my end. Note: if I have worked on the commission and it is cancelled due to client’s behavior, then I will not be giving a full refund and will keep a percent of the payment based on the work I have already put into the piece. 

Edits

Clients can request to be given regular updates on the piece or to have the piece kept hidden until the end. The client is allowed to ask for edits after the sketch update and the color block in update. These edits will be free with the commission. After the final image is sent to the client there may be an addition fee depending on how long the changes will take. Minor edits can be done for free. 

Wait Time

The time it will take me to create different types of commissions will vary based on complexity and my current schedule. I have a very variable schedule at the moment so I am unable to provide concrete wait times for the different types of pieces (may be as short as a few days or as long as 2+ weeks). However, I will inform the client of any delays in getting the commissions done and will work as fast as I can to complete them. It is possible to request express commissions so that they are completed by a certain time. Depending on how fast the commission needs to be done, there may be an additional fee to guarantee completion by then.

Shipping

Since all of the work I am currently offering is digital, there will be no shipment of any product.

Rights

• I retain copyright for the commissioned work, including the right to sell prints of it, reproduce the work, and add the work to my portfolio and social media.
• You may only use the artwork commissioned for personal use (no commercial use).
• You may not sell prints of the work, make profit on the work, or include the work in something sold (like a book) unless we have discussed this and created a contract.  
• You may upload the artwork to your social media only if credit is given (ie “made by Noctualis”) with a link back to my page. 
• You may use the work as wallpapers, print it for your own use or to give away for free, and any other non-commercial personal use.
• If you are unsure about the way you wish to use it, feel free to ask!
• All of the above may be negotiated with the client.
• do not claim the work as your own in any way.
